The Washington County Extension’s Progressive Agriculture Safety Day is on the horizon. All youth who have completed Kindergarten through third grade are encouraged to attend, and parents are welcome as well. The day includes topics such as animal safety, fire safety, disability awareness, weather and sun safety, grain, lawn mower and equipment safety and much more. Participants will be able to test their knowledge of farm safety, and their own reaction times in an emergency. The event is on Friday, June 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The cost is 10 dollars per child and includes a t-shirt, goody bag, snacks, and safety tips. For more information contact the Washington County Extension Office.
