The co-chair of Barn Quilts of Washington County says the group will hold a Barn Quilts Festival in Washington this fall in celebration of the County’s “Barn Quilt Capitol of Iowa” proclamation. Julie Mangold says the festival will take place September 27th through October 3rd, and features a Barn Quilts Bus Tour through the AAUW. The Washington Community Theater will also participate in the festival by hosting a play entitled “The Quilters”.
