The Washington County Board of Supervisors met in regular session yesterday morning and voted to defer the approval of a renewed contract with “Washington County Ambulance” until a later meeting. Supervisor Steve Davis told KCII the board will use this time to improve the wording of the contract, an action he says will make the process better in the future. Davis says the Board of Supervisors sent requests to 7 ambulance service providers for quotes but the current ambulance provider for the county was the only bid that was returned. The new deal would pay “Washington County Ambulance” $150,000 a year for three years, a $54,000 per year increase over the previous two year contract.
