Yesterday (Monday), the Iowa State Patrol responded to a two car accident on Highway 218 north of Swedesburg in Henry County. According to the State Patrol, Aaron Boysen of Columbus Junction was driving east on Highway 78 in a Ford Taurus when he failed to yield at a Stop Sign. Boysen’s vehicle was then hit by a GMC Safari van driven northbound on Highway 218 by Rachel Burhite of Marion. Burhite as well as two passengers in her vehicle, 34 year old James Rouse and 14 year old Ryan Burhite, both of Marion were transported by ambulance to the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant. State Patrol officers cited Boysen for fail to yield from a stop sign … and also cited Burhite for driving under suspension.
