The Demon baseball team scored in the first two innings to get an early lead on Fairfield on their way to an 8-1 win. Washington scored three runs in each of the first two innings. The Trojans used back to back doubles to get on the board in the top of the second. The Demons led 6-1 through much of the game until they got a couple of insurance runs in the sixth and won 8-1. Kaleb Rich pitched six innings gave up two hits struck out eight and didn’t walk anyone. At the plate, Jordan Gier had two hits and two rbis, T J Rausch had a two run base hit, and Anthony Ossman had two hits including a double, stole a base and scored two runs.

In the second game the Demons were leading 5-2 in the third when the game was postponed in the third because of a storm that moved in. Part of those five runs for Washington came on a two run home run by Kaleb Rich his third two run shot of the season. The Demons and Trojans will finish the game when they play their doubleheader in Fairfield next month. With the win the Demons are now 12-3 overall and 6-1 in the conference.
