The Washington Demons were in Pella last night and came away a split in two very different games in terms of the score. The Demons got up early with a couple of runs in the first, Pella Christian scored two to tie it, added two more in the third. Washington would score one in the fifth but the Eagles got the win 4-3. Demon Head Coach Angie Shrader felt they played well in that first game but didn’t seem to be into it mentally or play with much fire.

That seemed to change in the second game as Washington won big 18-1. In that game Lauren Vittetoe had a triple, Catilin Fishback and Kaitlin Bucholtz had doubles. Washington had 14 stolen bases. Maddie Bohr had four, Lucy Libe had three, Sammy Ellingson had two, Caitlin Fishback, Lauren Vittetoe, Molly Donnolly, Kaitlin Bucholtz, and Mackenzie Adrian each had one. The Demons with the split are now 18-8 and will host Mid-Prairie for a doubleheader. Originally the Demons were suppose to play Highland tonight, but Highland needs to make up a conference game, so Washington will use tonight to make up their doubleheader from last Wednesday that was rained out. You’ll be able to hear the first game of the doubleheader on KCII, we’ll be on the air at 5:30.
