The Demon softball team was at the Muscatine tournament on Saturday and played two highly ranked teams. Washington played 2A 4th ranked Wilton and were held to three hits. Lucy Libe had two and Lauren Vittetoe had the other. Washington lost 7-0. The other game was against 4A top ranked Muscatine. The Muskies won 14-2 in three innings. In that game Lucy Libe had a hit and Lauren Vittetoe had a double. Now the Demons go on the road for a big conference doubleheader with Keokuk. The Chiefs, Demons, and Fort Madison are vying for the conference title. The Demons split twice with Fort Madison, split once with Keokuk, and Fort Madison swept the Chiefs in their first doubleheader. So heading into tonight the Demons have three conference losses and the Chiefs have three conference losses. Fort Madison has two.
