The Demon softball team came away with a split in a key conference doubleheader at Keokuk. In the first game the Chiefs got a solo home run in the first and two runs in the second to go up 3-0. The Demons would respond with a two out double in the fourth from Katilin Bucholtz, her courtesy runner Mackenzie Adrian would score on an error. Shelby White would come across on another error to make it 3-2. In the seventh, Washington’s Lucy Libe got a single and was able to get to third but a pop out to second ended it and Keokuk won 3-2.

In the second game the Demons got some early runs and lead 4-1 but Keokuk came back and tied it up at four a piece. The Chiefs would take a 6-4 lead into the sixth but Washington would rally and on a base hit two runs came across to tie the game at 6-6. That second run on the play involved Lucy Libe sliding around a tag at the plate. The Demons would had another to take the lead 7-6. They got two more in the top of the seventh and would win 9-6. With the split the Demons are now 9-4 in conference play and Keokuk is 7-4.
