The Demon baseball team got a big split on the road in a key conference doubleheader against Mount Pleasant last night. Rain delayed the start of the game. It was supposed to start at 5:30 and the teams didn’t take infield until around seven. It was scoreless going into the bottom of the fourth but the Panthers were able to get two runs in to take a 2-0 lead. Mount Pleasant would score one more to get the 3-0 win.
Washington would rebound in game two. For the Demons Brad Weatherman and Josh Moore pitched the second game. Washington won 7-5 which Coach Nathan Miller says is big to be able to get a split on the road like that against a very good team. The Demons are now 3-1 on the season and are 9-2 overall.
