The Demon softball team got a big homerun from one of their seniors to beat third ranked Keokuk in the first game of last night’s doubleheader. The Demons got down 5-0, but would score three runs to narrow the gap. Then in the sixth inning with two on Caitlin Fishback hit a three run home run to center to give the Demons the one point lead and that would be the final as the Demons won 6-5.

In the second game the Demons got down early again, this time it was 6-0, before they’d retire thirteen batters in a row and only one of those was a strike out so they did it in the field. The Chiefs got the win 6-1. With the split the Demons are now 4-2 in the conference and 5-2 overall. They will host Oskaloosa this evening weather permitting.
