The Demon baseball team had a make up game with Mid-Prairie yesterday. The two teams were suppose to play in Washington Tuesday night but the rain prompted the postponement. The only time the teams could find to fit in the make up was late yesterday morning and there was a site change that came with that as they played in Wellman. The Golden Hawks found the home field to be friendly as they won big over the Demons 19-4 in four innings. For Mid-Prairie, Aaron Smit went 2-3 with a double, home run and three rbi’s, and Benji Gingerich went 3-4 with a home run, scored three runs and had three rbi’s. Mid-Prairie improves to 9-4 and they will be hosting 2A second ranked Wilton in a key conference match up. Wilton is also the team the Golden Hawks will open the post season with. You’ll be able to hear that game on KCII as well. We should be on around 7:15.

As for the Demons baseball team they have a doubleheader at Fort Madison. It will be the first look at Fort Madison for Washington. The Demons go in 3-1 in the conference.
