The Highland softball team got a ten run win over Columbus last night with a big fourth inning. The Huskies scored a run in the first and then in the fourth brought across nine to get the 10-0 win in five. For Highland, Kayla Schneider went 2-3, with and rbi, Paige Wieland went 2-3, and Anna Sweeting had a double and two rbi’s. Mariah Freel pitched a two hitter, struck out three and walked one. The Huskies are now 14-7 and 11-1 in the conference. They’ll have a chance to avenge their only conference loss when they go to Pekin early next week.
