The IMS baseball team had a key conference doubleheader with 2A ninth ranked Pekin. In the first game, Jackson Brokaw was on the hill and tossed a one hitter striking out six and walking one. Meanwhile at the plate Riley Hochstedler smacked two home runs and had six rbi’s. Marshall Shrock had a couple of hits one of which was a home run. Jason Litwiller had three hits and scored twice. IMS won the first 15-0 in four innings.
However Pekin would bounce back and win big in the second game. The Panthers won 14-3 in five innings. IMS scored their runs with a Riley Hochstedler two run shot and a Harlan Gingerich homer. The loss snaps IMS’ 41 game conference winning streak. IMS is now 8-3 overall and 5-1 in the conference.
