The Washington Demons and IMS went nine innings in baseball last night. The Demons struck first with two runs in the second with Jordan Gier and Jake Redlinger both getting hits and scoring. It would be 2-0 until the fifth when Harlan Gingerich led off with a base hit and scored from second on an Aaron Erb single. In the top of the seventh IMS had Jason Litwiller on at third with two outs when Jackson Brokaw came up with a hit to tie the game at 2-2. In extra innings, Washington had a chance with the bases loaded and two outs but IMS pitcher Jackson Brokaw came up with a key strike out to send it into the 9th. In the top of the ninth, thanks to an Aaron Erb double and a few wild pitches IMS scored five runs to take a 7-2 lead into the bottom of the ninth. The Demons did load the bases and managed to get two runs in but IMS got the win 7-4. Jackson Brokaw got the win, he pitched all nine innings gave up seven hits struck out seven, and walked twice. IMS is now 2-2 while Washington drops to 5-1.
