Four Kalona area home-school students and their coach traveled to the University of Wisconsin Lacrosse last week to compete with teams from the U.S., Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, and Great Britain in the Future Problem Solving International Competition. Coach Paula Moore told KCII News her team is now ranked 2nd in the world for the oral presentation category, earning scores behind only one group from Great Britain. In Future Problem Solving, teams receive a topic before attending a competition in order to study and prepare … but then on the day of competition must identify a given scenario’s problem and provide multiple solutions. Team members include Seth Ferreira Andrew Lamansky, Brittany Baldozier, Rebecca Moore … and congratulations to all of them.
