After the first round of play at the Girls State Golf Tournament, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks are sitting fifth as a team. The Golden Hawks shot a 402, one stroke off of fourth place South Hamilton. Clarinda is leading with a 383, Kuemper Catholic is second with 386, and Emmetsburg is third with 392. Individually, Mid-Prairie was led by Kelsie Berg who is sitting in ninth place with an 87, the leader shot an 80. Also for Mid-Prairie, Katie Yoder shot 100, Lindsey Thoman 106, Allison McArtor 109, Nicole Adams 110, and Breanna McFarland 147. The final round is scheduled for today and the 2A tournament is being played at River Valley Golf Course in Adel.
