Voter turnout in Washington County was low for yesterday’s primary. Washington County Auditor Bill Fredrick says turnout was around 18-percent. He says primaries are typically lower than general elections. Fredrick suspects a couple of the reasons for low turnout might because some are reluctant to have to choose a party affiliation as well as several uncontested races. He says the canvassing board will meet to finalize the results after next Tuesday’s County Supervisor meeting.
