Washington is 16/100 of an inch away from surpassing the precipitation record for June. As of today, Washington has received 13.33 inches of rain this month, just behind the 13.49 inch record set in June of 1930.  Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey predicts several counties in southeast Iowa will be eligible for federal disaster funding due to crop loss caused by more than 9 inches of above average rainfall.
