The Rebuild Iowa Office was created to after storms and flooding caused millions of dollars worth of damage in 2008, and that office now has advice for residents of Washington County as they approach record rainfall for June.  Rebuild Iowa spokeswoman Juli Probasco–Sowers says Washington County residents who have livestock should have a relocation plan for animals in case flooding makes their land uninhabitable.  She also recommends homeowners look into flood insurance, a coverage she says is typically not included in normal homeowner policies.
