Saturday rains caused a little slower start to Ridiculous Day in Washington, but it didn’t wash out the entire event. Washington Main Street Director Amy Vetter says the morning shower created a slow time at the beginning but she says once it cleared up at around 10:30, people came out. She was pleased they had additional businesses take part in the sidewalk sale and even some of the service businesses setting up to share what services they provide. The aim of the event is to stimulate retail sales in downtown.
