Senior Health Care Reform Warning

Posted: Sunday, June 20th, 2010 at 6:21 am

The Iowa Senior Medicare Patrol and the Southeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging are warning seniors about potential Medicare scams that have occurred in Iowa.  Seniors are asked to remember that there is nothing “new” about Medicare that requires them to reverify their Medicare or bank account number, and no one should call or visit their home to discuss health care reform.  More information can be found in the brochure that was mailed to every Medicare recipient in May, or by calling Medicare at 1800.633.4227.
