There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms today and tonight. The National Weather Service says the primary threat would be damaging winds and large hail, followed by the potential for heavy rain overnight. A cold front will approach the area from the north, while a warm front moves in from the south. Both fronts have the potential to trigger thunderstorms across central and eastern Iowa.
