One incumbent County Supervisor advanced out of the primary the other did not. The voters have selected candidates for the November general election for county supervisor, state legislature, and congressional elections. First in the supervisor race in District Three incumbent Steve Davis will advance to face Democrat Rodney Stogdill. In District Five, Ron Bennett narrowly beat Jim Rosien by 75 votes and will be unopposed in the general election. Linda Brown was on the ballot as an unopposed Democrat, but she has dropped out of the race. In the race for the state house District 89 seat Keota’s Jared Klein will run against incumbent Democrat Larry Marek. In Senate District 45 Sandy Greiner won by around 25-hundred votes, and faces incumbent Democrat Becky Schmitz. Statewide races, Terry Branstad receives the republican nomination in the gubernatorial race and will face Governor Chet Culver. Mariannette Miller-Meeks advanced to face Democratic incumbent Dave Loebsack. Finally in the senate race, Democrat Roxanne Conlin receives the nomination to face Republican incumbent Chuck Grassley. The results will not become official until approved by the canvassing board.
