The trial of a Washington man who told authorities he smothered his wife to death after she backed into their garage door has been delayed until October. Court documents show a lawyer for James Blum filed for and was granted a continuance, and Blum’s trial for second-degree murder has been rescheduled for October 5th. The trial had been set for August 24th. Blum was arrested in January after his wife was found unresponsive in the couple’s East Washington Street home. She later died at a hospital.
