Demon football coaching staff set

The Washington Demon football coaching staff is intact and there will be a few new faces. Head Coach Randy Shrader enters his first year with the Demons and he says he got to meet with his assistants late last week and identify roles. He says they’ll have a couple of coaches come up from the 8th grade level. He says Bill Huisenga will come up and coach offensive lineman and Howard Bean will coach running backs. Lincoln Principal Dave Hoffman will be the defensive coordinator, Steve Roth will work with defensive backs, Deron Hakert will coach the defensive line, and Shrader will work with quarterbacks and fullbacks. Like Ganoe, Shrader will be the offensive coordinator. He says they’ll intend to be an option team and run a 4-3 defense. Shrader comes to Washington from Rockford College. He says he hasn’t had a chance to formally meet all of the players but has met a few that were in the weight room during one of his visits. Football camp begins next week.
