The Washington Demon baseball team begins postseason play this evening as they head to Mount Pleasant to take on Keokuk. The Demons met one goal they set by winning the conference title, going through the season with only two conference losses, Mount Pleasant had three conference losses to finish second. Tonight Demon Head Coach Nathan Miller says his team can achieve another goal, erasing the Demons 12 year postseason opening round losing streak. In their four meetings this season, the Demons beat Keokuk 9-1 and 10-0 here in Washington, and then in Keokuk the Demons won 21-3 and 9-2. The winner of tonight’s game will return to Mount Pleasant on Monday to face the winner of Mount Pleasant and Fort Madison.
