The Washington Demons and Mount Pleasant Panthers have been at the top of the conference standings in baseball this season, they split in Mount Pleasant and they met in Washington last night. In the first game, the Demons got a run in the second and would score three runs in the third, Brad Weatherman had a double in that inning. The Demons got another run in the fourth with a Josh Moore walk and a Jordan Gier rbi base hit. Mount Pleasant would make a charge in the fifth scoring four runs on four hits and pulled within one. In the bottom of the inning, Brian Roder drew a walk, as did Josh Moore which brought up senior Kaleb Rich on senior night to face Braden Shull and Rich hit a three run shot to left, that would make it an 8-4 game as the Demons would get another in the sixth and win 9-4. Martin Ponce started for the Demons and gave up three hits struck out four and walked two. Josh Moore came on with one out in the top of the fifth. He only gave up one hit.

In the second game, errors bit the Demons, as the Panthers scored a run in the first, two in the second, one in the third and fourth and a run in the sixth. The Demons committed seven errors in the game as Mount Pleasant won 6-2. Kaleb Rich started for the Demons and Josh Moore would come on in relief. With the loss the Demons are now 9-2 in the conference. The Panthers only have two conference losses as well.
