This evening the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks will open state tournament play in Fort Dodge. The Golden Hawks who are 21-16 will play eleventh ranked St. Edmond Fort Dodge who is 30-5. Mid-Prairie makes their fourth trip to state since 2005. The Golden Hawks beat Pekin 4-0 to earn the trip, while St. Edmond beat seventh ranked Central Springs 13-5. The winner tonight plays the winner of IKM-Manning and Wayne. First pitch will be at 7:30 this evening and you’ll be able to hear the game right here on the one to count on KCII.
