The Highland Huskies were on the road taking on IMS in a conference doubleheader. The teams ended up splitting on the night. Coming off a big win over Pekin the night before, Highland took the first game 11-7 Highland. The Huskies had 16 hits including doubles from Zach Rozmus, Riley Kleopfer, and Danny LaRoche. Cody Boyd homered and freshman Jake Hootman threw all seven innings striking out four.
In game two it was scoreless until IMS scored three runs in the fourth and added two more in the fifth as IMS led 5-0. Highland would get on the board with a solo shot from Austin Arnold in the seventh, their first extra base hit in that second game. Chance Miller got the win as IMS won 5-1. With the split IMS now has two conference losses and Highland has four.
