Main Street Washington Event Approved For Alcohol, But Not In Park

The Washington City Council has approved an alcohol permit for August’s Main Street Washington Celebration, but won’t allow the organization to distribute alcohol in the city’s Central Park because of a city ordinance.

Mildred Meyer

Funeral services for 104 year old Mildred Meyer of Wayland are Thursday at 10:30 am at the Wayland Mennonite Church with private family burial prior to the service at North Hill Cemetery.  Visitation is tomorrow from Noon to 8pm at the Wayland Mennonite Church with the family present from 6-8.  A memorial has been established to Iowa Hospice.

Funeral services for 93 year old Myrl Levitt of Washington are Saturday at 10:30 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Washington with burial at Elm Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from Noon to 8, with the family present from 6 to 8pm.  Memorials have been established to the United Presbyterian Home and the United Presbyterian Church.
