The Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge is opening up their auto rout on Friday evenings to allow visitors access by car for viewing the wildlife and habitat on the area. The refuge says Shorebirds are abundant this time of year, many warblers are still around, geese are starting to stage and the first Blue-wing teal will be dropping in. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to check people in. The route will be open on August 6th. Driving is limited to the main road, but once inside, you are welcome to walk off the beaten track.
