President Barack Obama is asking business leaders for regulatory ideas that would generate additional private investment in business. Marcus Fedler owns and operates Custom Impressions in Washington. He says new zoning laws “stifle entrepreneurship” by forcing new companies to be approved by the county and pay a fee before going into business. Iowa Senator Charles Grassley told KCII the current administration is causing economic uncertainty by doing too much, and “no business person … wants to invest money that it takes to hire additional people.” Congressman Dave Loebsack says the “government’s not going to solve this problem” but “can provide many incentives” for new business development.
