Good to excellent rated corn in Iowa fell this week to 65%, a 7% loss from last week’s 72% rating.  The U.S.D.A. says flooding in west-central and southeastern Iowa caused the reduction, but soybeans faired better with just a 2% loss of crops rated good to excellent from 66 to 64%.  The U.S.D.A. says southeast Iowa farmers “reported the Des Moines River overflowing its banks and damaging crops,” and ranks Washington as the 6th highest for rainfall since April 1st with just under 23.5 inches of precipitation.
