The Iowa Girls Coaches Associaton put on their senior all-star round robin tournament yesterday. There are three teams Red, White, and Blue teams. Demon Head Coach Angie Shrader was chosen to coach the White team and Demon pitcher Greta Smeins was selected to play on the white team. Smeins pitched the first four innings of the first game against the Red team yesterday evening. She struck out one, walked one, and gave up 7 hits. The Red team won 4-2. In their second game the White team played the Blue team and they ended up in a tie 7-7 after 8 innings. Smeins played an inning at first base. Coach Shrader says it was a very fun experience and they got to be around some very good athletes many of whom are headed to the next level.
