An international composer is teaching a songwriting and film score workshop for all ages in Fairfield. Donald Sosin has been a composer for films for almost forty years. He and wife Joanna Seaton have taught songwriting and film scoring workshops in schools all over the country. The workshops begin on Monday August 2 and continue each day, for 45 minutes each, through Thursday August 5, with classes held at The Sondheim Center. Sosin is leading three workshops for children age 7 to 11 beginning at 1:30 pm, a songwriting workshop for ages 12-17 beginning at 2:30, and a film scoring workshop for all ages from 3:30 to 4:15. No experience is necessary to attend. Registration is $20 and reservations may be made by leaving your name and phone number at (641) 472-9051. Participants have the opportunity to have their music played by Sosin at his concert on Thursday, August 5th at 7:30 at The Sondheim.
