4-H participation in Washington County ranks in the top 10 of the entire state, and those young men and women will be presenting at this week’s Washington County Fair. Washington 4-H Youth Coordinator Kati Peiffer says the county has a rich tradition of 4-H, and the county sends the maximum amount of non-livestock projects to the state fair that is allowed by the state. Livestock presenters are allowed to choose if they’d like to participate in the state fair. 4-H communications night at the Washington County fair is Wednesday, and projects will be presented throughout the week as the Washington County Fair continues through Friday.
