Washington business Rider Sales is serving cyclists needs this week on the RAGBRAI trail. Owner Rita Stogdill says she and her husband Rodney have sold equipment and fixed bikes during RAGBRAI for the last 14 years, a boost to business that she says allows the store to stay open in a town the size of Washington. Rider Sales is one of only 10 mobile services providers for Iowa’s yearly bike trek, and RAGBRAI riders pay the same price for service and parts as Washington residents. Even without a price increase, Stogdill calls RAGBRAI “Christmas in July” for her business.
