Washington County is reminding residents that nomination papers for non-party offices for this fall’s General Election ballot are due at 5 pm on Wednesday, August 25^th. County Auditor Bill Fredrick says terms of county hospital board, agricultural extension council and soil conservation will be filled at the election, as well as Brighton Township Clerk and Trustee and Clay Township Clerk and Trustee.  Anyone interested in running as independents for County Attorney, Recorder, District 3 and 5 Supervisor and County Treasurer must also submit nomination papers on August 25^th.  For more information, contact the Washington County Auditor at 653.7777.
