Iowa’s Alcoholic Beverages Division says sales of liquor and wine have jumped more than five percent in the last twelve months, while beer sales dropped two percent. Tony Walsh, owner of Wine and Spirits in Washington, reports “pretty steady sales”.  He says the changes reported by the state are “small percentages”.  Despite a dip in beer sales, alcohol revenues across the state increased 2.2% last fiscal year.
