Yesterday morning at approximately 3:55 am, the Washington County Communications Center received a 911 report of a vehicle that had driven into water over the roadway at McKain’s Access on Dogwood Avenue near 295th Street in Brighton. The vehicle became stranded in rushing water with the operator still inside. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, and 17 year old Kyle Sobaski of Brighton was rescued by boat, but was not transported to a hospital. The roadway was closed due to flooding at the time of the accident, and the incident remains under investigation. KCII will bring you more details as they become official.
