Center on Sustainable Communities is hosting a workshop in Fairfield that focuses on green lighting alternatives.  The program titled “Iowa at Night – Lighting for a Sustainable Community’s Future” will address factors such as foot-candles, watts per square foot, quality of light, safety and visibility that come in conflict when designing exterior lighting systems, and ways to use these elements to produce sustainable lighting design solutions.  The workshop is free on Tuesday, October 5th at the Cambridge Meeting Room in the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center from 9:00am to 1:00pm.  The workshop is offered through the Re-Building a Sustainable Iowa statewide training program.
