The Highland Huskies also had their scrimmage scheduled for Friday and were postponed. Husky Head Coach Tony Johnson says they plan on doing some scrimmaging today. Johnson says they will go at game speed for a little bit, but it won’t be a formal scrimmage with game jerseys and a crowd. The Huskies will open the season in a new class and new district playing in Class 1A, but they will open with three opponents they’ve seen the last few seasons in Lone Tree, Columbus, and Cardinal. He says it’s nice to open with three opponents you’ve seen before and have some idea of what they like to do. The Huskies open with Lone Tree on Friday.
