Sales of vehicles in the U.S. are growing and better than this time last year during “Cash For Clunkers” incentives, with every major automaker except Ford and Daimler reporting a sales increase from June to July. Gretter Auto in Washington sells Buick, Chevrolet, and GMC vehicles.  Owner John Gretter reports “good” sales last month, adding that he thinks increased sales are a result the “overall economy and consumer sentiment” regarding the auto industry.  He says this time last year auto and economic talk was negative, but 2010’s improved economic and car manufacturing outlook has lead to increased consumer confidence.  Gretter says the true comparison of sales will come at the end of August, 2009’s best month for “Cash For Clunkers” sales.
