Funeral services for 85 year old Lloyd Bender of Kalona are 11 am Friday (8/27) at the Kalona Mennonite Church with private burial prior to the service.  Visitation is Thursday (8/26) from 2 to 4 and again from 6 to 8 pm at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.  A memorial has been established for Kalona First Responders, Kalona Volunteer Fire Department and Iowa City Hospice.

Beer Sales In Iowa Fall During Last 12 Months, Liquor And Wine Sales On The Rise

Iowa’s Alcoholic Beverages Division says sales of liquor and wine have jumped more than five percent in the last twelve months, while beer sales dropped two percent.

Ollie, Richmond and Rubio To Benefit From $2.5 Rural Development Grant
