Funeral Services for 75 year old Jose E. Torres of Washington will be held at 11:00 tomorrow (8/2) morning at the United Methodist Church in Washington. Visitation will be at 10am until the time of the service at the United Methodist Church with family visitation from 10 to11am. Burial will take place at the Cyprus Grove Cemetery in New Orleans, LA at a Later Date. A memorial has been established for the United Methodist Church of Washington.

Clarence Hartman

Funeral services for 86 year old Clarence “Shorty” Hartman of Washington, Formerly of Columbus Junction and Muscatine are Tuesday (8/3) afternoon at 2:00 at the George M.Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation services in Muscatine. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Iowa Mennonite Students Travel Thousands of Miles For Government Sanctioned Cultural Exchange

Five students from Iowa Mennonite School spent part of their summer learning about Polish life and culture as part of the U.S-Poland Parliamentary Youth Exchange Leadership Program, a program funded by the US State Department.
