The Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge is once again opening up their auto rout on Friday to allow visitors access by car for viewing the wildlife and habitat on the area. The refuge says Shorebirds are abundant this time of year, many warblers are still around, geese are starting to stage and the Blue-wing Teal is expected to be there.  Staff and volunteers will be on hand to check people in.  The route will be open this Friday the 20th, and Friday the 27th. Driving is limited to the main road, but once inside, participants are welcome to walk off the track. For more information contact the refuge at 319-523-6982.
