Emergency personnel responded to the scene of a partial building collapse in the City of Washington this weekend. The Washington County Safety Center said in a news release that Sunday at approximately 11:20 am it received a report of a building collapse at the former Perdock Dealership located at 221 West Washington Street. Personnel from the Washington Police Department, Washington Fire Department, Washington County Ambulance, the City of Washington, Alliant Energy, and Windstream responded to the scene. The building was unoccupied and no injuries were reported. The incident is under investigation and both lanes of traffic remain closed on South Avenue B.
