Alliant Energy will be starting a new project in Brighton next week. Justin Foss, Alliant Energy Spokesperson says the project involves replacing 18 different poles and hanging 17,000 new feet of wire. Foss says over time like any thing electrical systems wear and tear and by adding new lines and poles they will have things that will hold up longer and better. He says that it will be a pretty big project; he says they are asking people to take it slow around the construction work which will take place across town. The project will cost $82,000 and will start around Oct. 4th and will last through mid- November.
