The Washington Demons fought hard against Clear Creek Amana but in the end the Clippers came up with some big sacks late and got first downs to hold on to the football and run out the clock in the fourth quarter. It was Clear Creek Amana’s homecoming. It started with the Demons getting to the Clipper 48 but the Demons were forced to punt, which the Clippers blocked and started at Washington’s 39 and got a touchdown on two plays. Clear Creek Amana would put together a drive to get in the end zone again and they led 14-0. The Demons put together an 80 yard touchdown drive midway through the second quarter to make it 14-7 at the half. Washington had some key stops in the second half and Jake Redlinger hooked up with Brock Kimball for a 90-yard touchdown pass but the missed pat made it 14-13 Clippers. The Clipper spread passing offense was able to score two more touchdowns. With 8:00 to go the Demons were trying to put together a drive and moving the ball down the field all the way to around the Clipper 25 but three straight sacks and a penalty created a 4th and 34 which the Demons wouldn’t convert. The Clippers wouldn’t give the ball back from their as they won 28-13. Demons fall to 2-3 and 0-3 in the district. Clear Creek Amana is now 3-2 and 2-1 in the district. The Demons next host Mount Vernon for homecoming.
