Washington Public Health and the Parents as Teachers Group is offering Free Infant Massage Instruction at the Washington Public Library on October 5, 12 and19 from 9:30am to 10:30 am.
Instructor Roberta Sloat says the program is a great way to help parents bond with their Baby, but can help Baby’s in many ways as well. Sloat says it can help babies relax, sleep deeper and longer, and can help with colic.
While infant massage can’t help every child Sloat says it can be especially helpful for premature babies. The Class will be geared toward children under the age of 6 months with an adult. Families will need to bring a blanket and “normal” contents of a diaper bag.
